Montessori Teacher
Ms. Christina (Chrissy) Muelhbauer is a Teacher with the Infants A teaching team at Ponce City Market. Ms. Chrissy is an accomplished Montessori teacher who brings with her vast knowledge and years of experience working in Montessori classrooms. Before she began her journey with Suzuki, she was the Infant Director at The Montessori School of Camden in South Carolina. She worked in infant and Primary classrooms for 9 years before moving to Atlanta and joining the Suzuki team.
Ms. Chrissy started teaching at The Suzuki School in March 2014. Ms. Chrissy is extremely passionate in the Montessori Method and believes wholeheartedly it is the best system of education for young children and infants. She loves how the Montessori environment at the Suzuki School focuses on respecting and honoring the child. She is particularly fond of the quote by Magda Gerber: “Be careful what you teach, it might interfere with what they are learning.” Chrissy feels this quote captures the true essence of the Montessori system of education and her beliefs regarding teaching young children.
Ms. Chrissy was born in Ohio and raised in Wisconsin. She then lived in South Carolina for several years before moving to Atlanta. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 dogs. She also loves to read and go camping.
A graduate of the Montessori Education Programs International (MEPI) training program, Ms. Chrissy is a Certified Montessori Infant-Toddler teacher. She completed her studies at the Institute for Guided Studies. She is an avid Montessorian and often presents at Montessori conferences around the country.
