Montessori Teacher
LaTeshia Ross is a Montessori Teacher at the Ponce City Market Campus. She has also previously worked at both the Northside and Buckhead locations. Ms. LaTeshia comes from a background in Corporate America. She spent many years working a corporate job before discovering her love for watching children grow and helping them learn and develop. She previously spent some time teaching at the Atlanta Speech School before finding a home at The Suzuki School.
Ms. LaTeshia joined the Suzuki School team in 2012. Upon embarking on her journey with Suzuki she found that she loved the Suzuki philosophy and the way children learn in the Montessori system of education. She had an epiphany as she started to learn more about Montessori. The slow pace and meticulous, purposeful way lessons are presented made so much sense to her. She loved that children were granted the time they needed to complete tasks and the way the lessons captured their attention. She believes the Montessori method helps children develop into graceful, patient people with attention to order and superb concentration.
Ms. LaTeshia is originally from Columbus, Georgia. When she is not at school, she enjoys grilling, cooking, and crossword puzzles. She also does some voice over acting in her spare time!
Ms. LaTeshia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Johnson C. Smith University and a Master’s Degree in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management. In addition, she has a Childhood Development Associate’s Degree (CDA). Ms. LaTeshia is also a certified Infant-Toddler Montessori Teacher through the American Montessori Society.
